Ryder & Jordan | Children

Call me crazy, but I imagine he'll be able to get away with alot with just one look from those big brown eyes!

Let me introduce Ryder Khale Montgomery, lookin very grown up for his 2 months! He was so good letting Jordan and I fuss with him and try to get him situated/ propped up in this little box. Cant wait to get my lens on you again little man :) Here are a few of my faves:

Brittany & Janet | Just Because

You all know Janet from a few past posts, well when I was home she asked me if I would take some pictures of her and her good freind Brittany (aka Little Bit). Of course I said yes, especially when they said they wanted to do something with a Boho/ Vintage/ Runaways feel, because shoot I do love me a themed photo shoot! Unfortunately, by the time we got from Houston to Crosby all we had was about 30 minutes of light left. I kinda freaked out a little - barely any light, shooting with my new 50mm lens that I had never used and to top it off our first location was like a Motel 8 for mosquitos. I swear I had to edit about two mosquitos out of every picture and then later on,  the huge red mosquito bites :) But all in all we got some great, moody pictures true to the look we were going for!













So as I mentioned before, it was really getting dark fast  - this is what my amazing lens was able to do while shooting wide open:



Still looks to be fairly light outside, right? Well the pictures below show the reality of how dark it already was.






We did a little outfit change, took about 2 shots and promtly got kicked off the property. So I will leave you with a funny one we took on the way back to Brittany's house :)

Home Sweet Home

So I have about three more shoots to post about and then I will finally be caught up. After that I may have to post some older shots because I swear the sun hasn't come out for days here in Germany and it's been raining on top of that! Ewww, right? So no luck on new shoots just yet!
In this post, I want to share some pictures from the beautiful home that I grew up in. My Mom has awesome taste and my step-Dad is an awesome handy man/carpenter/ fixer upper of anything and I feel like our house shows that. It will be sad when they move but I'm sure the new house will be even better!



FYI: When you are an only child, the wall of shame consists only of pictures of you!

[Happy Hump Day]

Hello, hello! It's time to spice it up a little. here's a little list of 10 things i'm loving this week. i hope the rest of your week is extra lovely!

1. Starbucks Passion Shaken Iced Tea lemonade - it's what I get 98% of the time



2. Journals. All kinds, trust me i dont discriminate. If you are ever in doubt of what to get me, get me a journal. I keep a regular journal, an art journal, a photography journal, an idea journal...you get the idea :)



3. Tulle Clothing - they are a brand from Sweden and i love the clothes :)



4. This tree house hotel, umm how rad would that be?



5. Taylor Jacobson's hair - from the Rachel Zoe project



6. OPI nail polish



7. These peep toes from Aldo that I am kicking myself for not buying :(



8. Taylor Swift -she's amazing [period].

Cleo & Solo

I really struggle trying to think of interesting ways to make this blog more personal, interesting being the operative word. Obviously, I still havent figured it out quite yet but I'm going to give it a try today by posting some pictures of two of my favorite subjects when I'm home in Texas - our dogs!!

This is Cleo, our Old Lady as of late. And let me tell you she is the sweetest old lady ever! She's a Boxer mix who my Step-Dad rescued from a bad situation when she was only about a year old. When I was growing up we even used to play hide-and-seek together. I would send her upstairs, tell her to stay and then when I was done hiding I would yell come and she would race around the house and find me. Only child syndrome you say? No, it was the best!
During my Senior year of High School Cleo also managed to eat a 5 pound marble cake in a matter of minutes. I opened the brand new cake and set it on the counter, then stepped outside to talk to the neighbor and after I got back IT WAS GONE! Not even a crumb left, I think she felt bad for about 3 days after that :(

This guy is our Rodegian Ridgeback, Solo. Probably the wimpiest Rodesian around but he is adorable. He likes to toss pillows with his nose and if your laying on a pillow he will stick his cold nose in your face and then still try to toss it. Its pretty funny.
But Solo also has some bad habbits that we havent always known about: When my Oma and I flew to Texas together last year, Solo jumped on Oma's bed one morning. That in itself is a no no - but it gets worse - he then preceeds to do a wierd butt shimmy on Oma's pillow and hop back off. Oh yes, he totally wiped his butt off on Oma's pillow. Yeah we laughed for about an hour at that one -crazy dog!


Dont let this shot fool you - Cleo totally wears the pants in this relationship :)



I also want to take this time to wish my boyfriend Steffen a very Happy Birthday,he turns the big 2 9 today! I love you - when can we go back to Paris? ;-)
